Legitimate riding status?
Figured i'd do it, even though i've never read one in my life as I think it's a waste of time copying other people's bikes. Enjoy.
Mark's bike check
Frame: Inertia Hades 20.6. Custom spray job straight outa the box.
Fork: Failure
Brake lever: Odyssey Monolever medium with stripped out barrel thread. Looking to grab the new Fly lever.
Brake: Classic hombre, set up with carbon fibre brake pads and an animal linear cable
Pedals: Gusset slim Jims sealed. All pedals are too easy to destroy, but these have held up best despite having to do regular maintenance.
Cranks: Odyssey standards with DK bottom bracket after i twisted the original doing silly shit.
Bars: Sunday Vinnies. If we ever get a trails season i may switch back to my Metal Sasquatches
Grips: Hoffman mushrooms
Sprocket: Mankind chrome
Chain: standard road bike chain, so much better than all this interlock BS
Rear Wheel: Mocha G-sport rim, laced onto a Proper 10 tooth cassette
Front wheel: Henry's old profile hub on a sun rim. shit idea buying this with all the peg use.
Tyres: Odyssey aitkn front, probably the same on the rear.
Saddle: Macneil pivotal
Seatpost/clamp: Currently a piece of DMR MTB bullshit that's so poorly designed it needs sawing in half. soon to add a shim to run my old kink post. Inertia seat clamp.
Headset: Standard issue 45/45 internal Inertia headset
Extras: Pegs forever. i think they're primo, but it's hard to tell. Various stickers including space invaders on the handlebar.

My 5 favourite sections of all time (in order)
FBM - half and half final section with lucero - all these love songs tune (can't find a link-buy it if you can, in my opinion it's the best bmx vid of all time.)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2ic78nw7pY - Sergio Layos in Grounded
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgaXeKPFUyI - Joe Cox in Voices
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xr26k_mutiny-subversion-kinkbmx_extreme - Ojay Juarez in mutiny subversion
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afNrbfwyCCk Steven Hamilton in Animal, Can I Eat?
Thought i'd do something different for once. Might do a bike check later. Anyone else want to share their top five vid sections?

Moye time
Last night moye and jarmin kept me mused with drawings of local personalities on the Royal Oak's chalk board (mostly used for keeping darts scores)
this is JR fingering a sheep, apparently.
Also, look at the smile on moye's face having successfully hugged a girl on his 18th birthday.

James backfip
I found this on youtube when I typed in Bengeo. Some kids filmed James doing a backflip on their phones.

PHOTO COMP UPDATE
OK. Fist of, thanks to the people who have entered the photography competition so far. Good photos, keep them coming.
Secondly, there have been some small changes to the photo competition. For starters, ascension will no longer be judging it, you will. This makes the competition a little bit fairer and less biased.
To see all of the entries so far, use the link in the Feautures section to the right, or click here.

PHOTOGRAPHY COMP
Here is a little idea I came up with. Mark will probably slate me for it but its to try and get a few more people interested in ascension bmx and to try and get a few more people involved in us as well. Keep the community alive!
To re-clarify the rules: Rider(s) must be ascension riders (or locals etc.) and the photo must be yours and an original as well. Photos will be judged on lighting, angles and camera work as well as the tricks performed. Send you images to either info@ascensionbmx.com or use the photo submission form on the photography page. Entries are due in August the 5th, so get snapping!
